About the vacancy:
As a Scrum Master, we need you to:
  • Guide and coach the team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers;
  • Get the team to a high-performing level by recognising areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques;
  •  Be responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines;
  •  Cause removal of team impediments to increasing the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization;
  •  Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization;
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization; Planning and advising Scrum implementations within the organization;
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving;
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution;
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example;
  • Collaboration with Chapter members to improve the overall environment of the teams;
  • Leading, training, and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption.
  • We need you to have:
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency;
  • Proven ability to drive change in demanding environments is essential;
  • Self-taught and proactive;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are essential;
  • Humility; a constant desire to grow and learn;
  •  Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory;
  • Knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices is essential;
  • First-level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) preferred;
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand the team’s needs is a plus;
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games;
  • Knowledge of numerous well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Experience in a management position is a plus;
  • Fluency in English is a plus.
